2007 WCL Champions

Pro to Watch: AJ Morris (Kansas State), Pitcher, Washington Nationals

Morris debuted in professional baseball last summer after being selected in the 4th round of the 2009 MLB draft by Washington. The Big 12 Pitcher of the Year made eight starts for the Hagerstown Suns of the South Atlantic League to finish up his rookie season. A.J. pitched for Moses Lake in 2008, led the league in strikeouts with 57 and was named first-team All-WCL.

Big Man on Campus: Steve Tinoco, Outfielder, Long Beach State

As a junior last spring, Tinoco led the Dirtbags with a .343 batting average. Steve finished the season by going 5-for-5 with three home runs at South Carolina. Tinoco moved from the outfield to first base where he should start again in 2010. The senior from Coto de Caza, California led Moses Lake to a West Coast League title in 2007, hit a team-leading .331 (3rd best in the WCL) and was named first-team All-WCL as an outfielder.
