West Coast League eclipses 400,000 mark in overall attendance for 2013 season

Keizer, Oregon, December 13, 2013 - The West Coast League released its overall total attendance figures for the 2013 season. For the first time, total overall attendance eclipsed the 400,000 mark as WCL clubs drew 402,958 fans last summer.

The Bend Elks topped the league in overall attendance drawing 51,283 to Vince Genna Stadium for an average of 1,602 per game.

The expansion Victoria HarbourCats ranked first in the WCL in terms of league total attendance, as the Cats' drew 43,003 fans to Royal Athletic Park including a record single-game crowd of 4,210 for the WCL All-Star Game.

Victoria wasn't the only expansion team to do very well at the gate in 2013. Medford finished second in overall attendance and third in league attendance as the Rogues drew 44,846 overall (1,359 per game) and 36,910 for West Coast League games, including regular-season and postseason contests, in its inaugural campaign.
