Bellingham Bells ace Cody Fassold blanked Moses Lake this past Friday allowing 6 hits while striking out 7 as the Bells beat the Pirates 6-0. The Bells improved its record to 11-9 with a 5-2 week.
Fassold starred this past spring at Lewis-Clark State where the junior from Gaston, Oregon went 6-0 with a 3.14 ERA and struck out 49 over 48 2/3 innings pitched.
Cody is 2-0 and has posted a miniscule 1.16 ERA for the Bells, and the right-hander leads the West Coast League in strikeouts with 30.
Fassold pitched the last two summers with the Wenatchee AppleSox going 3-1 with a 4.69 ERA last season and 3-0 with a 2.43 ERA in 2008.
