Kitsap ace Trey Watt of Pacific Lutheran University wins two starts on road vs. Bend and Corvallis

Kitsap BlueJackets ace Trey Watt of PLU beat Bend on Monday, July 20 and shutout first-place Corvallis, breaking the Knights' 22-game home win streak, on Saturday, July 25.

Trey threw six solid innings vs. the Elks to earn the win as Kitsap routed Bend 14-2 at Vince Genna Stadium and Watt blanked Corvallis at Goss Stadium as the senior-to be from Tualatin, Oregon threw a 5-hitter and struck out 6.

For the week, Watt tossed 15 innings and only allowed one earned run while striking out 11.

For the summer, Watt is 5-2 and his 1.02 ERA is the third lowest in the league.

Watt earned first-team All-Northwest Conference honors this past spring at PLU where he went 6-2 with a 4.12 ERA and struck out 86 over 74 1/3 innings pitched.
