Corvallis southpaw Liam Baron of Linn-Benton CC tosses two-hit shutout at Kitsap

Southpaw Liam Baron (pictured) of Perth, Australia tossed a two-hit shutout at Kitsap on Friday, July 17 to earn WCL Player of the Week honors.

The junior-to be at Gonzaga faced only two batters over the minimum and completed the game, played under two hours (1:53), with only 87 pitches.

Baron, who pitched this past spring at Linn-Benton CC, leads Corvallis in league appearances with 15 and saves with 5 and is 1-1 with a 1.83 ERA for the #3 nationally ranked Knights.
